The Petersons were born and raised in Memphis. Shelby took the leap to open A Generous Clean in August of 2023. It was her venture of returning back to work after the birth of their precious son, Cairo, in February of 2022. Though prior to his birth she worked in a completely different industry. The Lord gave Shelby a vision of providing not only for her own family, but also for other families through what grew to become A Generous Clean. After less than 2 months in business AGC was overbooked and had to hire it’s first employee. That’s when the Peterson’s knew they needed to finalize a company name.. They thought how generous the Lord was to have tripled their income goal in just WEEKS of starting.. thus the name was born (serving multiple meanings.) In 2025 Matt joined the family business to run the handyman and junk removal side of things. The Petersons enjoy spending time with family, weekend Shelby Farms trips with their German Shepards, and serving alongside their beloved community at Pioneer Church.
